The six-ear quick-release dust cartridge filter is an advanced pleated filtration element designed for pulse-jet cartridge dust collectors. Its defining feature is the six-lug bayonet mount on the top end cap, which allows a single operator to remove or install the cartridge in seconds without any tools. Simply rotate and lift — no wrenches, no bolts, and no confined-space wrestling. This reduces filter change-out time by up to 80% compared to traditional flanged cartridges, minimizing production downtime. Beyond fast installation, the cartridge is available in three performance configurations: anti-static with embedded conductive fibers for combustible dust, flame retardant with self-extinguishing media, and high-temperature rated using Nomex media. Each version can be upgraded with a PTFE membrane laminated to the filter surface, achieving 99.99% efficiency at 0.3 microns. The pleated construction packs significantly more filtration area into a standard cylindrical envelope than bag-style filters. Standard outer diameters include 320, 325, and 350 mm with heights from 600 to 1,200 mm. Compatible with all major pulse-jet cartridge collectors, these filters are the fastest, safest way to keep your dust collection system operating at peak efficiency.
Standard cartridge filters with flat end caps require bolts, clamps, and often two-person installation. In a large collector with dozens of cartridges, a full change-out can take an entire shift or more. Every minute the collector is offline is lost production. In combustible dust applications, standard polyester filters without anti-static treatment accumulate static charge and become an ignition source. In high-temperature processes such as welding fume and laser cutting, ordinary filters degrade rapidly, shrink, or support combustion. A filter that fails to address these risks is a direct threat to both productivity and safety.
The six-ear quick-release cartridge directly solves the maintenance bottleneck. The bayonet mount is integrally molded with the end cap, creating a rigid, repeatable seal with the tube sheet. For combustible dusts such as aluminum, magnesium, wood, and plastic powder, the anti-static version uses conductive fibers throughout the media to safely dissipate static charge to the grounded housing. The flame-retardant treatment ensures the media self-extinguishes if exposed to sparks or embers. For hot processes, Nomex-rated cartridges maintain their structural integrity up to 200°C. A PTFE membrane option converts the filtration from depth to surface loading, keeping dust on the outside of the media where pulse cleaning removes it completely. This keeps pressure drop low and stable, extending both filter life and energy savings.

Dust-laden air passes through the pleated media from outside to inside. Particles are trapped on the filter surface, while clean air exits through the open core into the clean air plenum. In anti-static cartridges, conductive fibers continuously bleed static charge to the grounded metal housing, preventing spark generation. The flame-retardant media resists ignition if sparks are drawn into the collector. During pulse cleaning, a burst of compressed air fires into the cartridge core, briefly flexing the pleats outward and dislodging the dust cake into the hopper. The six-ear mount holds the cartridge rigidly in place during these repeated pulses, maintaining a consistent seal without loosening.
